Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Utilities Planner for our client based in Hampshire.

Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Planning team in a pivotal role that ensures smooth coordination between engineering teams and customers. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining a high standard of service delivery by efficiently managing engineer schedules, resolving customer queries promptly, and supporting operational needs across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and oversee reactive engineer visits, using proximity planning to minimise travel time and maximise efficiency.
Plan preventative maintenance works in line with performance targets, coordinating appointments between engineers and customers.
Liaise with customer planning teams to arrange site visits when their attendance is required.
Monitor and adjust daily schedules, updating customers on changes as necessary.
Handle inbound and outbound communications promptly and professionally via phone and email.
Ensure accurate completion and collection of paperwork and asset information from site visits.
Utilise relevant systems and platforms (e.g., trackers, lone worker apps, one.network, Onemap) to support effective planning.
Manage stock levels, including van stock, to ensure engineers are equipped to complete jobs.
Raise purchase orders and maintain regular contact with suppliers.
Build strong working relationships with engineers, ensuring they are fully supported.
Support ad-hoc projects and coordinate works in collaboration with Project Managers.
Arrange access to sites in advance to ensure smooth attendance by engineers.

Skills & Experience:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage last-minute changes effectively.
Confident in decision-making and handling complex customer situations without escalation.
Strong initiative and ability to work within procedures to meet deadlines and targets.
Customer-focused with a high level of attention to detail and service quality.
Proven ability to prioritise and manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in the Utilities or Security sector is advantageous.
Competent in using internal systems to accurately record and manage job data.
Proactive approach to process improvement and enhancing customer experience.
Calm under pressure, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic workload.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Offering
Starting salary £DOE
Hours Monday - Friday 35 hours between 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm
Holidays are 20 days annual, increasing to 25 days after one year’s service and 8 days’ public and 1 day birthday holidays.
