Job Description Salaried General Practitioner Post Title: Salaried GP (Newly Qualified Welcome) Location: Ashdown Medical Group, Downham/Lee London Responsible to: Practice Partners / Clinical Lead GP Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (4 to 6 sessions per week) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (plus NHS Pension & Indemnity cover) Job Summary We are a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice looking for an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our clinical team for 46 sessions per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified GP seeking a supportive environment with opportunities for career development, mentorship, and special interest work. You will provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care to our registered population, working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to meet the health needs of our diverse community. Main Duties and Responsibilities As a valued member of our team, you will: Provide consultations in person, over the telephone, or via video for a variety of acute, chronic, and preventive care needs. Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of medical conditions. Prescribe safely and effectively, and conduct medication reviews. Arrange and interpret appropriate investigations. Refer patients to secondary care and community services where required. Offer health promotion advice, lifestyle support, and preventive interventions. Participate in the duty doctor rota, managing same-day demand and occasional home visits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the practice clinical system. Contribute to clinical meetings, audits, significant event reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Support the practice in meeting QOF, Enhanced Services, and other contractual requirements. Maintain professional development in line with GMC revalidation requirements.
