Salaried GP 4 Sessions per Week (Ideally Thursday & Friday ARRS role considered) Whitnash Medical Centre Leamington Spa £10,000£10,500 per session per year About Us We are a 7,000-patient, friendly and supportive GP training practice in Leamington Spa. We pride ourselves on being high QOF achievers, delivering excellent patient care, and fostering a warm, team-based environment. We work from modern premises using EMIS Web and are part of an active Primary Care Network. We value the wellbeing of our staff so much so, we make time to share lunch together most days! This role may be salaried or funded via the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). The Role We are looking for a motivated and team-oriented GP to join us for 4 sessions per week (ideally Thursday & Friday, though Monday & Tuesday may be possible). You will provide safe, evidence-based clinical care, contribute to QOF and enhanced services, and play an active role in supporting and debriefing GP trainees. Session Structure Session length: 4 hours 10 minutes, including: Clinical work (consultations, occasional home visits, phone calls) Non-clinical/admin/CPD: 1 hour 10 minutes 2 dedicated admin slots Duty doctor days: Availability 8:00am6:30pm (calls outside these hours are very rare) Occasional extended hours to meet demand Working Pattern Two sessions per day, ideally Thursday & Friday (alternative days considered) Duty rota shared pro-rata with other doctors Key Duties Clinical: Manage acute and chronic presentations for registered patients Provide telephone consultations and occasional home visits (rare) Participate in duty doctor cover, including urgent requests, results, prescriptions, and supporting colleagues Contribute to extended hours services (occasional Saturday AM or evening clinic) Debrief and support GP trainees as part of our training practice commitment Administrative: Manage your own results, prescriptions, and incoming documents Keep clear, accurate records using Read/SNOMED coding Use EMIS Web for referrals, certificates, and documentation Attend practice meetings (within contracted hours) Contribute to QOF, enhanced services, and PCN work streams Annual Leave & CPD 6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays (pro-rata) 1 week study leave per year (pro-rata) + CPD time built into sessions TOIL available for mandatory in-house training Essential Criteria GMC-registered GP with MRCGP or equivalent On the GP Performers List Current CPR certification and full medical defence cover Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care Willingness to supervise and debrief GP trainees Why Join Us?
