Crynodeb
The post holder will: Assimilates processes, translates and articulates information and data from various sources, which is then conveyed in an appropriate manner to the relevant audience. Adhere to local and national policies and guidelines, and assist in the development of Neonatal Unit guidelines and policies. Provide vision and influence practice through the empowerment of colleagues. Ensures that students and staff receive effective induction, mentorship, development and support, and develop appropriate strategies to improve the knowledge and skills of our staff. Acknowledges everyones strengths and weaknesses, and supports and advises actions needed to enhance their development. Has the ability to motivate, drive and be actively involved in the training of the interdisciplinary team of staff as well as patients and relatives. Identifies and responds to national and local initiatives by participating in and empowering nurse led projects to develop protocols and guidelines taken from evidence based practices that are then shared nationally. As directed by the Senior Practice Development Nurse: initiates, organises and conducts audits; reports on and present findings at Unit, Trust, Local level as appropriate with formulation of action plans, ongoing evaluation and adjustments as needed. Responsible for facilitating research, guiding the change process and implementing change into practice without supervision Promotes/develops and maintains a culture within the clinical environment which challenges and questions practice, and promotes the quality of thinking amongst practitioners Please see attached job description and person specification to this advert for further details.
