Crynodeb
The post holder will assist in the provision of care to patients/clients by providing a range of personal care duties as designated by a Qualified Nurse. These tasks will involve direct and indirect care for the benefit of the patient/client in accordance with agreed protocols, and include basic care duties such as : Enabling patients to maintain personal hygiene through assistance with shower/bath, washing facilities access and use of toilet facilities; promoting independence where possible. Enabling patients to eat and drink, assisting where appropriate. Escorting patients/clients to other departments/hospitals. Keeping up to date with mandatory training requirements. Maintaining a good standard of cleanliness in the ward, including changing bed linenand disposing of clinical waste in accordance with organisational policies The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements.
