If you share our values, we want to hear from you!!We have an exciting opportunity for two caring and understanding *female colleagues with a creative nature to join our team in Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire as Support Practitioners on a full-time basis (39 hours per week). You don't need experience in care to start your career with us as we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner along with the opportunity to complete a fully funded SVQ.The RoleYou will be joining our friendly and dynamic team who support a young lady with Autism, mental health and behaviours of concern. She has just taken an exciting step into her first home after a lengthy hospital stay and we’re here to help her make it truly her own.As a Support Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in her day-to-day life, from preparing meals and managing medication to attending appointments, enjoying activities and supporting her with personal finances. Most importantly, you’ll encourage her to grow in independence, helping her develop practical life skills like cooking, caring for her home, discovering new hobbies and integrating with her local community. To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:Have an empathetic and caring nature.Good observation skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Confidence in using computers.Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.Good organisational skills.Shift PatternsOur team provides 24/7 support on a 2:1 basis which include day shifts (8am - 10pm) and sleepover shifts (8am - 11pm SO 7am - 8am).The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours, so for every sleep you cover you will receive an additional £90.40 in your pay.We’re looking to fill these posts as soon as possible and reserve the right to close the advert if suitable candidates are found before the advert closes.
