We have a vacancy for the Community Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Programme. This will be a full time post on an initial 2 year fixed contract as part of the NHS pharmacy Technician development programme. After successfully completing the course you will be able to register with The GPhC as a pharmacy Technician and additionally will be an accredited checking technician.
George Wickham Ltd is a group of forward looking busy pharmacies in Exeter.
You will be based Alphington Pharmacy which is attached to a GP surgery and works in partnership with the GPs to deliver highly innovative patient services. You will also spend time at Luxtons Pharmacy which is an ultra-modern pharmacy operating a large two floor dispensary which uses dispensing Robots to increase the automation of tasks, one of only a handful of pharmacies which has this technology in the area.
As an apprentice joining our team we will help you to deliver the very best pharmaceutical and customer care to our patients and their families.
You will :-
• Work in our Dispensary team help to prepare medication for our customers
• Work on our Medicines Counters assisting customers with their prescriptions and selling and advising them on appropriate medication.
• Help to ensure that customers visiting the pharmacy are given the very best customer service experience.
• Use our technological solutions both IT and Robotic to ensure an efficient dispensing service.
• Develop your skills to become a "Health Champion" and help improve and maintain the health of our customers with lifestyle advice and support.
• Gain recognised qualifications and skills to demonstrate your expertise.
• Work as a key member of a busy hard-working team in across both of our pharmacies whilst you learn at work and by distance learning.
You must be numerate, literate and in good health with an eagerness to provide the very best in customer care. You must be a team player and dedicated to make the most of this unique opportunity to join one of the most innovative Pharmacy groups in the UK.
In return we will pay you a competitive salary dependent upon your experience and help you to achieve your goals. We have a good record of helping our apprentice staff develop and achieve senior positions in our teams.
