Lincolnshire County Council is looking for one dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative candidate who will offer a warm, relational approach for the role of Positive Futures Community Sports Worker.

About the role:

Positive Futures is a community-based project which creates safe places and spaces for young people to engage in positive activities, aiming to support their safety and reduce the risk of exploitation and harm. The candidate will work as part of the Future4Me, Community & Interventions Team – and will be based in Grantham/ Lincoln (North). This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop a mentoring and supportive relationship with young people, with the aim of using sport and positive activities to support their safety. The candidate will work within targeted communities, coordinating and delivering an exciting programme of sport and positive activities for young people. This role will also involve delivering targeted interventions, often using sport as a vehicle to develop young people, whilst working in partnership with local agencies and organisations.

About the opportunity:

There is one, full time (37 hours per week), fixed term post available from September 2025 - September 2026. These hours will include delivering three evenings per week. Please see an EXAMPLE of the working hours below; however, please note that that this is only an example, and is subject to change in line with the development of our programmes.

Monday | 9.00am - 5.00pm approx.
Tuesday |12.00pm - 8.00pm approx.
Wednesday | 9.00pm - 5.00pm approx.
Thursday | 12.00pm - 8.00pm approx.
Friday | 1.30pm - 9.00pm approx.
