Chichester College is seeking a full-time Assistant Librarian to join our welcoming and dedicated library team. Based at our campus in the heart of Chichester, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the Library Management System (LMS), ensuring it operates efficiently to support the delivery of high-quality library services across the college. Supporting the College Librarian, you will ensure that our library resources and environment support student learning and provide an outstanding learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:Managing and maintaining the LMS to ensure its efficient operation.Creating, updating and maintaining the library’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) pages.Collecting and analysing statistics on the usage of our online resources to inform collection development and resource management. Liaising with curriculum staff to provide relevant resources, develop the collection, and deliver research skills training.The role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. You should be educated to degree level and ideally have a CILIP accredited qualification in librarianship or information studies, or a commitment to obtaining such a qualification. Experience of working in a college library and proficient computer skills are advantageous.
