- Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a school setting
- A strong understanding of phonics and early reading development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with children
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom
Qualifications:
- Hold a relevant qualification in childcare, education, or a related field (NVQ Level 2 or 3, Teaching Assistant diploma)
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
