KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham B16
Pay Rate: £110 - 120
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
We are looking for an energetic and adaptable KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team. This varied role involves working across four classes in Key Stage 1, delivering small-group intervention sessions, and covering PPA lessons 2-3 times per week. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience across different year groups, teaching styles, and classroom settings. Every day will bring a mix of teaching support, creativity, and opportunities to help children thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted intervention sessions in reading, writing, and maths.
- Support learning across multiple KS1 classes as required.
- Deliver engaging lessons during PPA cover, following plans provided by the teacher.
- Work closely with teaching staff to identify and address learning gaps.
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
You Will Need:
- Previous experience working with KS1 pupils in a primary school setting.
- Confidence in delivering learning activities to small groups and whole classes.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively across different classrooms.
