Are you a passionate and experienced chef ready to lead a small, dedicated kitchen team in an inspiring school environment? We’re looking for a Chef Manager to take ownership of our kitchen at Pegasus School in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering high-quality, nutritious food while leading a team with energy and confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

- Running day-to-day kitchen operations, including preparing fresh, hot and cold meals for breakfast and lunch services
- Creating deli-style and grab-and-go offerings
- Managing portion control and minimising food waste
- Leading hospitality events and ensuring all food is produced to brand standards and recipes
- Handling stock control, placing timely orders, managing deliveries, and overseeing regular stocktakes
- Supporting financial reporting and budgetary processes
- Leading, coaching, and developing a small kitchen team
- Delivering excellent customer service and handling any complaints professionally


What we’re looking for:

- A relevant culinary qualification and hands-on cooking experience – ideally in an educational or similar setting
- Proven experience managing a small kitchen team
- Solid understanding of P&L, stocktaking, and budget management
- A proactive leader who can motivate and support team development
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong sense of accountability
- Ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks is essential
