Job Description

Provide professional planning support through the provision of expert advice and guidance to colleagues and management across the Service on a range of planning applications, development proposals and environmental assessment activities including the provision of general planning activities delivered by Development Management Services, in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Governance Service Plan and the Community Plan.

The Individual

This is a full time permanent post based within the Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock.

The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked as follows:

9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am - 4pm Friday

The workstyle for this post is Mobile’ - 20-49% of your time in an office or other work location. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 1 to 2.5 days per week and the remainder of the week at home or other work locations as required.

The full time salary of the post is between £46,1736 - £48,958 per annum.

The successful candidate will be dealing with a diverse and interesting range of development management cases across the East Ayrshire area which extends from the rural uplands to the south to the more populated Kilmarnock area to the north.
