Job Title: Senior Care Assistant – Days
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Salary: £12.76 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team at a warm and welcoming Residential home in Redditch. This full-time role is perfect for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and has the confidence to lead by example.

You’ll be working day shifts, providing hands-on care and supporting the daily running of the home while leading a team of care assistants. If you're passionate about caring for others and have experience administering medication and overseeing care plans, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering high standards of personal and emotional care to residents
• Supporting residents with daily activities and promoting independence
• Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
• Leading and supporting care staff during shifts
• Completing accurate care records and documentation
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
• Supporting the Nurse or Home Manager with care planning and daily operations
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and dignified environment for all residents

Requirements

Essential:

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader in a residential or nursing home
• Confident and experienced in medication handling and administration
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, responsible, and calm under pressure

Desirable:

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
• Knowledge of CQC standards and care planning
