Crynodeb
You will be joining a small passionate team, welcoming and introducing visitors to the estate. You will have the opportunity to engage with people from all walks of life, maintain the day-to-day content of the visitor journey, and support the Visitor Experience Officer in developing and shaping the future of our visitor experiences.
You will be supporting the public to participate in Welsh democracy, as well as informing them about how they are represented and how they can get involved. We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills. You should enjoy communicating with members of the public and have an interest in the work and significance of the Senedd. If this sounds like you, then don’t delay; apply today!
Training and information will be provided about the topics covered when communicating with the public.
For more information, please view the job description.
Pattern of Working
This is a part time post (7.24 hours per week), although flexible working arrangements will be considered, subject to meeting the needs of the Senedd, its Members and its visitors. As a regular pattern, we are looking for the post holder to work one day a week, usually Saturdays. However this may also include Sundays, privilege days, or bank holidays. The team rota is usually planned one month ahead of time.
As part of a public facing team that delivers a service over seven days a week, the post holder will be expected to sometimes work with less notice (which can be two days’ notice) if business needs require. This includes working on non regular days when needed. This could be to support when planning cover for before unknown busier times (a recall of business, for example), or in supporting the team in being resilient to absence.
Please note recruitment will normally be at the minimum of the band.
The successful candidate will be subject to security vetting.

The language skills for this post have been assessed as follows:
Listening: Understand most job related routine and non-routine discussions and instructions (Level 3)

Reading: Understand most job-related routine and non-routine text when standard language is used (Level 3)
Writing: Able to write job-related routine and non-routine text (Level 3)
These skills will be assessed as part of the selection process.
