You will work within this dedicated team to facilitate the smooth running of the reception and clinic areas, scheduling and booking appointments and ensuring that co-ordinated and streamlined communication revolve around the patient and their individual needs. You should have experience of working as a receptionist or in a customer focused environment, and have knowledge of customer care. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a desire to provide a first class service for patients and clinical teams. To be part of the Macmillan and Oncology Unit teams and work to enable the objectives of the Trust to be achieved. Tocontribute to the Trust complying with Clinical Governance and Risk Management. Support unit manager in arranging meetings and managing workload. To meet and greet visitors to the department and signpost to the appropriate area as required. Receive/welcome new patients onto the ward, checking particulars on their records and ensuring notes are in order. Ensureidentity bracelets available for nursing staff and patients. Demonstrate excellent telephone skills to triage incoming calls and direct appropriately. Please refer to the Job Description for further details.
