Key responsibilities: 1. To provide medical and psychiatric advice to ATT and ARTS under supervision of Consultant. 2. To initiate a psychiatric assessment, including Mental State examination on first contact with patient, and to regularly update the Mental State Examination. 3. Accept medical responsibility for patients in the service under supervision of Consultant. 4. To maintain adequate written documentation of all medical and psychiatric examination of the patients and to record contacts with relatives and carers. All patients notes are recorded on the electronic patient record. All cases under your care to have up to date CAMHS community care plan, CAMHS risk assessments in the correct tab of the patient record, a regularly update CGAS score, an up-to-date medication record and a provisional ICD-11 multiaxial diagnosis. 5. To contribute to development of diagnostic and treatment plans with a comprehensive case workup. Presenting your assessment to the MDT 6. To maintain timely communication with primary care after seeing a young person- the summary to include provisional ICD-11 diagnosis, prescribed psychotropic medication, risk assessment and an outline of the care plan for the young person. 7. To contribute to the MDT of both ATT and ARTs services. 8. To maintain a professional and ethical stance towards the patients, their relatives, other team members and other agencies. 9. To acquire knowledge of and competence in the Mental Health Act 1983, and other relevant medicolegal frameworks in regard to Children and Young people. 10. To acquire competence in psychotherapeutic techniques for Children and Young People as per post holders interests. 11. To participate in clinical supervision with the Consultant on a regular basis, with regular feedback. We look forward to receiving your application!
