An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join LALS as Hub Admin Assistant withing the Central team based at County Hall. Our three main areas of work are learner enrolments, data Processing and accreditation work with exam/awarding bodies. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate attention to detail and has previous data inputting and admin experience. Previous experience of working in an Adult Learning setting and experience of working with Awarding bodies and Exam boards would be beneficial, however we are willing to train the right candidate.
The role is hybrid, which involves working at home and office work at your assigned base which is County Hall, as and when required. You will become part of an established team who will support you through your training period.
About the Role
- Answer calls that come through on our enrolment line and enrol learners onto Adult Learning courses, providing excellent customer service throughout.
- Process data accurately and in a timely manner, with good attention to detail.
- Register learners and claim certificates, according to awarding body guidelines and timescales.
- Have an excellent understanding of the IT Systems used.
- Deal with enquiries by telephone or email from the public or staff.
- Make routine calls to obtain information/resolve queries.
- Provide Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) to ensure learners are enrolled onto appropriate courses or referred to alternative provision.
- Support the effective delivery of exams and provision of materials in compliance with awarding body requirements.
- Input information accurately to the Management Information System (MIS) and extract, manipulate and use information to support service delivery.
- Arrange meetings and take minutes.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed, referring and resolving queries in a timely manner.
- Undertake other duties within scope of the job purpose, title and grading of the job.
- Remain flexible to meet service needs and be prepared to travel to other locations within the County.

About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
- A good standard of written and spoken English and numeracy, equivalent to Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
- Experience in a range of software packages such as Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Data protection (GDPR), Equality, Diversity and inclusion (EDI)
- Excellent customer care experience.
- Admin experience in a range of tasks to include data inputting, the ability to extract data, maintaining records, responding to emails, taking calls.
- A flexible attitude to work, including evening working (until 7pm) one evening per week and occasional Saturdays to support tutor briefings and training events.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
