We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.At Gower College Swansea we are passionate about investing in our staff and looking after their wellbeing to ensure they feel supported in work and also at home.The role: This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Tutor/Assessor with a health and social care background to join our highly successful and professional team, operating within GCS Training, the commercial branch of the College.Full time (37 hours per week)Permanent£29,910 - £32,918 Per AnnumJubilee Court Campus (Fforestfach)Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare and deliver assessments across a range of courses ensuring schemes/records of work, assignment schedules, are appropriate to the syllabus content and awarding body standardsPlan and deliver up to 12 hours per week of classroom training to learners as requiredEnsure training and assessment strategies and materials are planned and accessible to meet the varied needs of all learnersAbout you:Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant sectorTAQA Assessor Award or willing to work towardsCommercial knowledge, experience and understanding of industry, including training needsAble to work on own initiativeBenefits for you:28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas periodA Local Government Pension Scheme with an average employer contribution of 21% (2024)2 staff well-being daysView more benefits here: https://www.gcs.ac.uk/recruitment/staff-benefits-wellbeingNeed help with your application? This is achieved via the college’s in house continuous professional development facility.
