Join a leading national team delivering cutting-edge Building Management System (BMS) solutions. You'll oversee full project lifecycles—from design and mobilisation to commissioning and client handover—working with technologies like Trend, Tridium, and Distech. You'll mentor junior engineers, integrate systems using open protocols, and build strong client relationships. This is a hands-on role for a proactive engineer who thrives on delivering high-quality, tailored solutions.
You'll be part of a dynamic National BMS Projects and Operations Team, collaborating with over 50 engineers, managers, and support staff across the UK.
This role exists to ensure seamless delivery of BMS projects, meeting client expectations through expert design, integration, and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
The BMS Project and Commissioning Engineer is responsible for delivering complete BMS solutions from initial site mobilisation to final commissioning and client handover. Key duties include designing and configuring control strategies, conducting site surveys, commissioning graphics head ends, integrating systems using open protocols (e.g. Modbus, BACnet), mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring seamless project delivery that meets client expectations.
Requirements:
-Niagara Framework Certification- Ideally Niagara Certified or Advanced Certified, with strong proficiency in Niagara Wire Sheets and control strategy development.
-Protocol Integration Expertise- Skilled in integrating systems using Modbus, MBus, BACnet, and other open protocols.
-Strong IT and Networking Knowledge- Understanding of IP configuration and IT networks to support system connectivity and integration.
-Design and Commissioning Experience- Ability to develop controller strategies, schematics, and commission BMS systems including graphics head ends.
-Mentorship and Communication Skills- Capable of mentoring junior engineers and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
