We are seeking a candidate to use their Art & Design experience to coordinate an art course and teach the next generation of artists. This role will combine providing high quality teaching, learning and assessment in the College with the opportunity to push the learning provision in new directions.
You will be predominantly working in the Art & Design provision, looking at developing course in the community. You may also have some cover lesson requirements in the College course, with Level 2 and 3 learners. We teach a broad range of Art & Design skills, looking at both 2D and 3D practices. The applicant would need a skill base that encompasses a broad range of materials, techniques, and processes.
You should have a degree (or equivalent) in Art & Design although vocational qualifications and experience will be considered. It is also essential that you have a PGCE and/or relevant teaching or are willing to study to achieve this. In service training can be arranged if necessary for graduates without a teaching qualification.
For an informal discussion, please contact Lesley Wakerley on (01205) 365701 ext 4425.
