Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification This is a key administrative role in the Radiotherapy Department, responsible for providing support across a range of administrative functions within the service. The post holder will be responsible for assisting patients and visitors to the centre by working on the reception desk and help support therapy radiographers with their admin needs. This will include completion of duties such as pulling notes for clinics, of filing treatment information in notes and ensuring notes are returned to medical records at the end of treatment in the correct manner. The post holder will be a good communicator and will use verbal and written communication skills with patients such as by preparing appointment letters. The post holder will be expected to cross-cover other team members in their absence and to ensure colleagues are able to cover in their absence. The post holder will participate in the Radiotherapy administrative teams wider service provision, including extended-day cover on a rotational basis. The post holder will be required to work flexibly; by supporting the needs of the service and be aware that the radiotherapy service is open from 7am until 7pm, with the booking team being available from 8 am 5 pm. They will be aware that occasional work outside of these times and during weekends or public holidays will be required. The Royal Surrey Cancer Centre Radiotherapy Department is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and operates a satellite service from the East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. Previous administrative experience would be an advantage but is not essential as comprehensive Trust and local induction/training is available. The post holder will be rotad to work mainly at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, but may be asked to travel between there and our East Surrey Hospital site.
