West Lothian Council Adult Learning Team is looking to recruit supply creche workers to deliver a safe and caring educational childcare service for the children of parents/carers who are attending daytime activities/courses with West Lothian Council and partner organisations.
The role includes:
- planning and providing an environment which gives each child the opportunity to acquire and develop skills appropriate to his/her age and ability
- promoting the appropriate type of play to aid each child’s physical, emotional and intellectual development within a two-hour session.
- Completion of all relevant paperwork and admin tasks, including session registers and risk assessments.
- Providing feedback to parents and dealing with questions or concerns.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
