To contribute to the provision of person-centred care and support for service users by delivering, assembling and installing a range of health and occupational therapy equipment in the Community. Provide a high standard of technical advice and support to the equipment store, service users and professional staff. This will include contributing to the assessment and review of service user needs and all stores related activities including the repair, refurbishment, Portable Appliance Testing, Loler checks and service inspections of equipment.


The role would support the safe and efficient provision of new and recycled specialised equipment, optimizing the use of equipment and parts and reducing costs to the service.


Assist Manager with stock control and scheduling deliveries and collections. Assist Manager with managing vehicles and deal with breakdowns.


This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
