Summary

Regional Account Manager | South West (Field-Based) | Full Time | Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm | £36,000 per annum plus commission

Our client has been manufacturing cables since 1895, combining over a century of experience with a forward-thinking approach. Today, they’re not just a manufacturer—they’re evolving into one of the most proficient and trusted service providers in the cable industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and growing sales across the South West region for our client’s range of cable products. As a key representative of the brand in the field, you will manage existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities with distributors, contractors, OEMs, and project stakeholders.

This is a field-based role ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in technical sales or electrical distribution, ideally within the cable or electrical components industry.

Are you the right person for the job?

• A proven track record in regional account management or B2B technical sales
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong knowledge of electrical cable products and their applications
• The ability to work independently, prioritise your workload, and achieve targets
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• A full UK driving licence
• Residence in the South West region and a willingness to travel extensively

What will your role look like?

• Managing and growing an existing portfolio of accounts across your region
• Identifying new business opportunities in sectors such as construction, utilities, industrial, and renewables
• Promoting our full range of cable products and providing technical support to clients
• Developing and delivering a regional sales strategy aligned with company targets
• Conducting regular site visits, meetings, and product presentations
• Negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms of sale in line with policy
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and support
• Keeping an eye on market trends, competitor activity, and reporting key insights
• Representing the company at trade shows and industry networking events
