Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for various events and functions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Set up and dismantle catering equipment, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
- Provide excellent guest services by attending to the needs of clients and event attendees.
- Support bartending activities as required, ensuring that beverages are served efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items to events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering areas before, during, and after events.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to assist in food preparation tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards guests and team members.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and evenings as needed.
