A unique opportunity has arisen to join a small company located in and around Woodbridge. You will give much needed support for people who want to stay independent in their own homes, while assisting with the day-to-day running of the business. It is a varied role, as each person’s needs are different. A rewarding position that creates great bonds between you and the clients.
Hummingbird Home Helpers promotes person-centred support, promoting independent living at home. Consistency in support is paramount to our values allowing for personal relationships to develop. With a small team, who support each other, this company offers a unique, personalised service.
The role is a 28-hour contract, Monday to Friday, within the hours of 9am-5pm. Some flexibility will be needed for overtime within those hours.
£18,928 base salary (28 hours/ week) plus £13/ hour overtime.

Workplace pension provided
You do not need to have experience, but instead a caring nature and a desire to genuinely help people in the community. All training will be provided.
Some experience working at a supervisory level within any field will need to be demonstrated. It is essential that you have a full driving license and access to a car. You will be asked to complete an enhanced DBS check if you are successful.
This is a companionship-based role, duties may include:
• Housework.
• Shopping for a customer if they cannot or assisted shopping.
• Preparing simple meals or help with preparation.
• Prompting for medication.
• Laundry and bed changes.
• Light gardening (watering plants or deadheading).
• Assisted walks & activities.
• Technical advice (help with the TV if it goes wrong!).
• Taking phone calls on behalf of Hummingbird Home Helpers and liaising with customers and staff.
• Accessing and adjusting the rota as necessary, making last minute changes if needed.
• Assisting the Manager with tasks as and when needed.
