We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic qualified Social Workers who, will join the Children with Disability team, to progress the transitions for young people with a complex disability in to the Adult World. We are looking for a motivated social worker, who has a keen interest in this area of work. to assist us to make the transition from GIRFEC to GOREF. They need to be committed to making a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families. This opportunity is full time,

You will work as part of a team of Social Work and Family Support staff in their efforts to identify and address local need and risk, to promote community wellbeing and safety. Within Stirling we want to significantly improve the experience for children and young people in our care and to utilise all of the strengths within the wider family and wider community, ultimately shifting the balance of care.

You will carry a workload, focused on the transition of young people who are moving into the adult world. Working closely with families, education, adult colleagues ,service providers and external agencies to ensure a smooth, seamless transition into the adult world

Along with excellent written and oral communication skills, you will have a working knowledge of GIRFEC, relevant legislation and have proven organisational skills, along with the ability to be flexible in your response to demands as required. You will be expected to work with a certain amount of autonomy but will be accountable to the responsible Team Leader.

We are also looking for staff who will work to and embrace the principles and values of the Promise in Scotland.

Applicants must either - possess a Degree / Diploma in Social Work or equivalent, or be Social Work students due to qualify and be registered with SSSC.

Full UK driving licence is essential for that post.
