We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Marie Curie Hospice Care at Home Overnight Service in Middlesbrough. Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 2 £24,465 pro rata per annum + enhancements Hours/Contract: Full Time 37.5 hours per week (Nights 10pm 7am) Contract Type: Permanent Based: Middlesbrough Community Closing date: 24th August 2025 As a Healthcare Assistant with the Hospice Care at Home Overnight Service in Middlesbrough, you will be providing essential support to patients and their families during their most challenging times. Our team offers free specialist palliative care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses, while also providing crucial emotional support to their loved ones. With your experience in End of Life care, you are well-equipped to make a significant impact. Our approach is centred on one-to-one care, ensuring that you will have ample opportunities for meaningful interactions with patients and their families in their own homes. Working independently, you will be able to use your initiative in accordance with the patient's established care plan. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, administering medications, maintaining detailed records, and offering emotional support to both patients and their families.
