REQUIREMENTS Diploma/ Degree in Nursing; Actively registered on the NMC. Experience of working with young people with an eating disorder preferred although not essential. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. Experience of supervising staff preferred although not essential. Mentorship qualification either being worked towards, achieved or applicant is willing to complete Knowledge of local and national policies. MAIN DUTIES To carry out specialist nursing assessments of young people referred to the service. Devise comprehensive care plans and risk assessments and co-ordinate this care and treatment. Regularly review progress with the goal of transferring their care to an alternative care provider when stabilised To formulate and implement plans for nursing treatment and/or management. To be responsible for implementing a range of nursing interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups. Support junior nursing colleagues as well as Senior nursing colleagues in the team Have oversight of the Physical Health Clinics and to take charge of the unit Manage own caseload of complex cases, this will involve attending meetings relating to their care and treatment, this may require organisation of the meeting, chairing of the meeting and overseeing the completion of actions from the meeting Liaising with internal and external agencies involved in the care and treatment of the CYP Escalate any concerns/ safeguarding in line with policy and protocol Our team is responsible for covering all of Sussex, and is based in Hove. Due to the nature of the intervention staff are required on site every day, although there is some opportunities to work remotely in agreement with your line manager.
