Crynodeb
The Pharmacy Support Worker Higher within Clinical Trials perform a valuable support function to the dispensaries, ensuring the safe supply of investigational medicines to trial participants. Key tasks include: Labelling and dispensing of clinical trial medications after training and competency assessment. Responsibility for tracking IMP finance, ensuring appropriate and timely reimbursement of medicines. Supporting the Pharmacy Technicians with the delivery of service information and escalation within the team meetings Providing support to the Pharmacy Technicians in all aspects of stock control, including stocktaking. Management of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) including receipt, dispensing, returns, quarantine and destruction. Liaison with internal Research teams and external Sponsors and associates. Performing clerical tasks as required. Ensuring all medicines are distributed in a safe and secure manner following SOPs and adhering to GCP. Ensuring waste is removed and disposed of correctly. Assisting in general housekeeping e.g. cleaning and tidying of work areas. Participation in evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rostered basis.
