Job Role: Senior Health Link Coordinator – Travelling Communities
Salary: £27,810 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract – 30th June 2026
Location: Wiltshire
Additional information:
- Valid driver's license and access to a car for business purposes
- This role requires frequent travel across Wiltshire


About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Senior Health Link Coordinator to join our dedicated Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, and Boater (GRTB) Service team and help make a lasting impact on the lives of Travelling Communities.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in partnership with healthcare providers to tackle health inequalities and improve access to essential services. Your work will centre around increasing awareness and uptake of health interventions, with a strong focus on severe mental health, cancer screening, and early intervention.

In this leadership role, you’ll manage one team member and a group of enthusiastic volunteers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. You’ll also work closely with internal colleagues and external partners to deliver a joined-up, person-centred service that meets the unique needs of our clients.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage Referrals: Oversee and track referrals to the service, ensuring clients receive timely, appropriate and person-centred support.
- Build Strong Relationships: Engage with healthcare providers to foster meaningful partnerships and help break down barriers to working effectively with Travelling communities.
- Deliver Cultural Awareness Training: Provide tailored training sessions to healthcare professionals, enhancing their understanding and confidence in delivery inclusive care.
- Coordinate Collaborative Strategies: Work with providers to develop joined-up, culturally appropriate engagement approaches that promote update of relevant health services.

Since job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities


Qualifications / Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle – business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
- A good insight into health care systems in the UK
- Experience / Understanding of working with vulnerable adults and/or socially excluded people
