About the Role /u

Sunderland City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Health Adviser to join our proactive and supportive Occupational Health team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of employees across the Council and partner organisations in the region.



u Key Responsibilities /u

Deliver high-quality occupational health services including health assessments, case management, and health surveillance.

Provide expert advice on fitness for work, workplace adjustments, and health promotion.



Support the Councilandrsquo;s wellbeing strategy by contributing to initiatives that enhance physical and mental health across the workforce.

Collaborate with HR, Health andamp; Safety, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to employee wellbeing.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.



u About You /u

You will be a qualified Occupational Health professional (e.g. Registered Nurse with a specialist qualification in Occupational Health) with experience in delivering services in a multidisciplinary setting. Youandrsquo;ll be confident in managing complex cases, communicating effectively, and promoting a culture of health and wellbeing.
