This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Army’s Overseas and Training Infrastructure Cell as the Programme and Performance Manager. The work that you do will have a direct impact to the lived experience of our Service Personnel ensuring they have a safe place to live, work, and train. You will be fully supported by the Overseas and Training Infrastructure Cell team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Develop the prioritised infrastructure programme of works for the Overseas and UK Training Estate and elements of the overseas locations comprising minor Change, Maintain and Sustain requirements
Review evolving programmes of work with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation regional staff and the wider Overseas and Training Infrastructure Cell team in line with Defence priorities
Run the programme of works ensuring changes are effectively processed and communicated and the risks and issues raised with Headquarters Regional Command and Army Basing and Infrastructure
Ensure the proposed programme of work is feasible and deliverable by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation for the UK Defence Training Estate and overseas estate
Submit the finalised Overseas programmes of work, once approved by Senior Executive Officer (SEO) Overseas and Training Infrastructure Cell to Headquarters Regional Commend SEO Programmer for either the annual or long-term planning consideration
Provide the monthly financial forecast to Headquarters Regional Command SEO Programmer to enable early visibility of the scope and scale of regional annual budget cycle funding requirements and in-year deliverability
Review Statements of Need submitted by the regional Defence Infrastructure Organisation teams ensuring the Defence Output Criteria, risk scoring, and justification are robust and accurately advise the requirement
Provide ad-hoc infrastructure programming information as required by regional infrastructure staff or Headquarters Regional Command.
