Crynodeb

The Occupational Therapy Degree Apprentices will work on a rotational basis under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist for the duration of their apprenticeship. The post holder will carry out occupational therapy under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist. This will include working on patients performance in completing or participating in activities of daily living. The post holder will work closely with the Occupational Therapists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in enabling patients to maintain or improve their function. The apprenticeship will comprise of On the job training and release to complete university learning delivered by Sheffield Hallam University A mixture of academic and practiced based learning and assessment to develop and maintain knowledge, skills and competencies as detailed in the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of proficiency. On the job mentorship and structured progression for the student (e-portfolio) Attendance at University sessions and successful completion of placements Undertake a flexible learning approach online lectures/ interactions to aid flexible learning.
