Your Role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Social Work practitioner, who holds a Social Work degree and is registered with Social Work England to join The Front Door team based within Adult Social Care in Stockport.
As a Senior Social Worker on the team, you will need to undertake all statutory duties in line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation ensuring that the principle of promoting and supporting wellbeing is at the heart of your practice. You will manage a small complex caseload and will work alongside the existing Assistant Team Leaders and Team Leader to manage the day-to-day work of the team. This includes:
Triage and prioritise referrals. Thinking Prevent, Reduce, Delay.
Being confident in decision making in a fast-paced environment.
This position also involves mentoring and supervising less experienced colleagues to support their development and ensure service quality
About You
You will be an experienced social worker, who has a keen interest in achieving better outcomes for adults in Stockport.
You will have a good working knowledge of Stockport values, excellent organisational skills and a creative approach to problem solving.
To be successful in this role, you will have a can-do outlook, be flexible, enjoy fast paced work and multidisciplinary working.
About Us
The Front Door team consists of Occupational Therapists, Social Care Officers, Referral and Information Officers and Social Workers. Together the team are the first point of contact for residents and professionals who need advice and support from a range of services, agencies or community offers. The team works closely with partners such as NWAS, GMP, Stockport Family and Adult Social Care teams to triage and prioritise referrals to ensure people receive a timely and appropriate response to their enquiry.
This supportive team is committed to multi- disciplinary working where each team member is valued for their unique contribution.
