Are you a calm, compassionate, and committed individual with previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ready to make a real impact in the lives of autistic young people?
Quokka Education is proud to be supporting a Top 10 secondary school in Hampshire, recognised for its inclusive ethos, outstanding leadership, and excellent SEND provision. We're helping them find a dedicated Autism Learning Support Practitioner (Grade C) to join their experienced team on a full-time basis.

About the Role:
- Provide in-class support, focusing on students with autism and more complex needs
- Deliver targeted 1:1 or small group interventions
- Act as a keyworker for specific students, building trust and consistency
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and professionals to create tailored support plans
- Contribute to the SEND team by sharing best practices and learning strategies
- Support emotional, behavioural, and academic development in a structured environment
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in an SEN support role
- A calm, kind, and proactive approach to working with young people
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A sense of humour, team spirit, and a passion for inclusive education
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in SEND or education
What the School Offers:
- A warm and inclusive working environment where staff are valued
- Recognition as one of Hampshire's top-performing schools
- A strong, supportive leadership team and robust staff development
- A chance to be part of a forward-thinking, child-centred SEND provision
- Opportunities for future progression into teaching or specialist roles
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm (Term Time Only)
