Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Connect Team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. We are recruiting a Senior Configuration Analyst to support and enhance our Epic electronic patient record (EPR) system, working in partnership with clinical and operational teams to continuously improve digital tools that enable outstanding patient care.
Dedicated to supporting research workflows across the Trust, working closely with The Royal Marsden’s world-renowned research teams and Epic's Research module.
We are seeking experienced and passionate individuals who are certified or accredited in at least one Epic application—preferably in Cadence, Referrals, Springboard, Grand Central, Beacon, Willow or Research. A strong track record of collaborating with operational teams and managing configuration change in a live EPR environment is essential.

As a Digital Health Record (DHR) Senior Configuration Analyst the post holder is responsible for:
• Assisting with the delivery of the Trust’s new electronic patient record (DHR) system
within a designated team
• Working on several integrated areas to ensure a coordinated approach across all teams
• Working in partnership with our partners, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Epic
• Analysing and suggesting ways to improve current workflows and working practices
• Facilitating agreement for changes in working practices with appropriate stakeholders
• Matching agreed workflows with those already built into DHR system and/or configuring
the DHR system using configuration tools to tailor the system
• Assisting with testing of the systems to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust

• Support the ongoing optimisation and configuration of the Trust’s Epic system across multiple key applications.
• Work on integrated workflows, ensuring joined-up processes across departments.
• Lead on documentation and analysis of complex clinical and administrative workflows.
• Provide line management and supervision to Configuration Analysts within the team.
• Act as a subject matter expert, investigating issues, resolving queries, and engaging with end users to ensure the system is aligned to operational needs and best practice.
• Support the design and delivery of end-user training and offer on-call support when required.
• Gain additional Epic certifications where appropriate, supported by the Trust.
• Ensure configuration meets legal, clinical safety and regulatory standards while delivering measurable benefits to users and patients.
