Job Title: PPT Operator & Container Unloader

Location: Redditch

Salary: £13.25p/h

Hours: 3pm - 1am

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit PPT Operator and Container Unloader to join our warehouse team. This dual-role position involves operating Powered Pallet Trucks (PPTs) for moving goods efficiently throughout the warehouse and manually unloading shipping containers, ensuring stock is handled safely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities: PPT Operation:

• Operate Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely to move goods within the warehouse.

  
  

• Load and unload pallets onto/from racking and staging areas.

  
  

• Transport stock to appropriate storage or dispatch areas.

  
  

• Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report any faults or damage.

  
  

• Follow all health and safety regulations related to machinery operation.

  
  Container Unloading:

  • Manually unload goods from shipping containers.

    
    

  • Sort and stack items accurately and safely.

    
    

  • Check goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.

    
    

  • Use manual handling equipment where required.

    
    

  • Maintain a clean and organized unloading area.

    
    Requirements:

    • Previous experience operating PPTs (PPT license or in-house training certificate preferred).

      
      

    • Experience in a warehouse or manual labor role, especially with container unloading.

      
      

    • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 kg]).

      
      

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

      
      

    • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

      
      

    • Basic understanding of warehouse safety and manual handling procedures.

      
      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Valid PPT certificate or experience operating similar equipment.

        
        

      • Forklift license

        
        

      • Familiarity with warehouse scanning systems (optional).
