What you'll be working: This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role: As a Therapy Technician, you will: Promote safety and protect the human rights of all residents in your care. Carry out therapeutic assessments and deliver treatment programmes under the guidance of qualified therapists. Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team to support safe and timely discharges. Provide resident-focused care that is safe, efficient, and aligned with both local and national standards. Work independently with patients following clear clinical guidance and supervision from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Use your initiative while managing your caseload, keeping the supervising therapist informed as needed. Conduct appropriate risk assessments of residents’ capabilities and environments prior to interventions. Monitor and evaluate resident progress, making appropriate changes to treatment plans within your scope of practice. Educate residents and families on the correct and safe use of equipment, with support from registered therapists when required. Empower residents and families to engage in self-management and make informed decisions about their care.
