Senior Estimator Opportunity
My client is an award-winning Developer specialising in Regeneration and Social Housing Projects across the UK. Due to a significant increase in key projects, the company is now looking for a Senior Estimator to join their Midlands Team. Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director and working closely with the Refurbishment Director, you will be instrumental in supporting the business's continued growth.
As a Senior Estimator, you will take responsibility for:
- Reviewing and assessing bid documentation to identify opportunities and risks associated with tender submissions.
- Conducting detailed site visits to fully understand project scope, complexities, and potential challenges.
- Producing accurate and timely cost estimates and pre-acquisition studies to support competitive tendering.
- Regularly updating cost databases by collaborating with post-contract teams to reflect current market prices.
- Actively participating in tender adjudication meetings to present commercial evaluations and risk assessments.
Senior Estimator Requirements:
- Proven experience in an estimating role, ideally within social housing refurbishment or a related construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, technologies, and relevant contracts.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to assess and manage risk effectively.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to estimating and commercial reporting.
