Insurance Officer

We are currently looking for a Insurance Officer to join the Sovini Group.

As an Insurance Officer, you will be expected to:
• To manage and administer insurance claims made by or against the Sovini Group, ensuring timely and accurate processing, communication with insurers, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders.
• The role also supports the Risk and Assurance Team in maintaining the Group’s Risk and Assurance Framework and delivering insurance-related insights.
• Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
• Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Insurance Officer role, the skills you will need:
• Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience using and updating databases, spreadsheets and systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, using initiative and sound judgement.

• Ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security, including knowledge of GDPR requirements.
• Professional and proactive approach to resolving issues and escalating appropriately.

• Ability to work in an agile working environment.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
• Experience of liaising with external partners (e.g. brokers, claims investigators).
• Experience managing claims or case handling.
• Experience working with a comprehensive Insurance Portfolio (e.g. property, motor, liability).
• Ability to analyse financial/non-financial/statistical data and summarise key points.
• Understanding of the insurance claims lifecycle, including liability decisions and insurer liaison.
