The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner to join us as an HR Business Partner. If you think you can help us to continue to make our mark and bring something special to our fantastic team then we would love to hear from you.
There is something special about working in HR here; the support and challenge from talented colleagues keeps us fresh, ahead of the latest thinking and we always make a difference. The best of public and private sector approaches.
As a result, we are recognised nationally for our work having recently been awarded the PPMA ‘HR Team of the Year’ award. However, whilst we are multi-award winners we are never complacent, always driving to identify improvements and deliver greater impact.
The role is hybrid working with at least 1-2 days per week working from County Hall in Northallerton
What you will be doing
Our HR Business Partners play a critical role in enabling the organisation to implement workforce changes and continuous improvement and challenge.
Our work is complex and interesting including organisation redesign, driving business performance through workforce planning and development, supporting managers with their staff leadership approaches and workforce interventions in line with our People Strategy priorities. Challenging and supporting in equal measure, we enable our most important resource, our people, to thrive.
What you can bring
With an immediate portfolio of professional services within our Central Services and Resources Directorate, ideally we are looking for an existing HR Business Partner who is driven and who can comfortably operate at a strategic level, influencing senior managers and with a proven track record in change management.
The role is highly autonomous; you need a keen eye for spotting where and how we can add value as a Service and be innovative, flexible and adaptable in your approach to support colleagues across the HR Service as required.
You will have a strong moral compass and put the customer at the heart of what you do.
Why Work for us…
In addition to your salary, we offer a range of great benefits to help you financially and make life a bit easier.
These include:
a local government defined benefit pension scheme with 18.1% employer contribution.
