We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Facilities Assistant, on a 5.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.62 - £24.54 per hour
Summary:
The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation, safety, and compliance of council buildings, ensuring they are fit for purpose, secure, and customer-focused. The role covers a variety of sites including libraries, Idea Stores, administrative offices, youth centres, community buildings, childrens centres, adult centres, and parks buildings.
This is an exciting time to join Facilities Management at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, as the service prepares to move into the New Town Hall. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new procedures, policies, and service improvements.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality Facilities Management (FM) services across the corporate property portfolio.
Respond to FM Helpdesk requests promptly, ensuring statutory compliance and accurate record-keeping.
Ensure all buildings are compliant with health and safety regulations, secure, clean, and operational.
Full clean driving license
Build and maintain strong relationships with building users, resolving customer issues quickly and effectively.
Monitor building conditions, report issues, and suggest service improvements.
Requirements:
Experience in a Facilities Management and/or customer service environment.
Proven ability to support service delivery, resolve problems, and maintain strong working relationships.
Good IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
