Completely Assured works with a world-leading sustainability scheme, assisting in the assessment process of new and existing buildings to ensure they are environmentally friendly, energy efficient, a healthy and pleasant place to live or work, and that they have minimal negative impact on the ecology of the local environment.
There is an ever-increasing focus on ensuring we are looking after the planet and the immediate environment in which we live. The successful candidate will soon be on the path to a career in the growth area of sustainability.
We are looking for somebody with a demonstrable ability to learn new technical skills including construction related drawings and documents, with a good eye for detail and exceptional written English skills. You will have an interest in buildings and the built environment, with a relevant work or educational background.
Key skills:
• Educational or work background within environmental science, engineering, geography or other related fields
• Knowledge of or a keen interest in buildings and construction
• Good attention to detail
• Demonstrable ability to learn new technical skills in a proactive and efficient manner
Responsibilities:
• Undertaking desktop-based technical audits of sustainability assessments
• Providing clear and concise written feedback to clients
• Support customers via email and phone
• Maintenance of all records and databases relating to work completed
• Attendance of training sessions and team meetings, in person or via online meeting tools
While this is a junior role suited to recent graduates or those looking for a career change, it comes with the opportunity to learn skills which would put the right person on a path to a more senior role in the industry within 2 years, as you will fast track your technical knowledge, acquire a highly respected formal qualification within months, and have the opportunity to connect with many important contacts within the industry within a short period of time.
The role is office based in our Watford office, with flexibility to work up to 50% of the time from home for the right candidate in the first 6 months and up to 75% of the time thereafter. We are a small but friendly team, who work a 34.5 hour week with lunchtime finish on Fridays.
