Summary
- Role: Service Engineer
- Shift: Monday to Friday 07:30-1600- 40 hours per week.
- Pay: £13.00 per hour increasing to £13.22 after 12 weeks.
The Best Connection are looking for a small tools Service Engineer for our client. The role involves maintenance, servicing and repair of a wide range of small tools and LLA to ensure they are safe, reliable and presented to a high standard and this is a temp to perm role for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, safety conscious and experiences in tool repair or maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- To conduct repairs and routine maintenance on small tools, light plant and portable equipment, in line with manufacturers specifications.
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective action in a timely manner.
- Conduct basic electrical checks including PAT testing and fault finding
- Ensure accurate service records are maintained
- Assist in workshop organisation, ensuring all tools and equipment are safe and compliant
- Adhere to all health and safety requirement, including PUWER and LOLER regulations
Requirements:
- Experience in servicing, maintenance or repair small tools, portable equipment or similar machinery.
- Basic electrical knowledge including fault diagnosis.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Full UK Driving License
- Previous experience in a tool hire or plant hire environment
