The Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Oxfordshire supported living team. You will be supporting two adult female residents with autism, complex physical health needs, epilepsy, and mobility challenges. Your work will focus on enabling independence, promoting inclusion, and maintaining safety through respectful, person-centred care.

Your role will include:

Assisting with personal care, maintaining dignity and promoting independence.

Supporting daily activities including meal preparation, housekeeping, and medication management.

Facilitating participation in community activities, promoting inclusion, and social interaction.

Utilising communication aids and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to manage challenging behaviours and anxiety.

Monitoring health conditions, skin integrity, and managing risks such as epilepsy or self-harm.

Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes promptly to management and healthcare professionals.

About You:

Essential requirements:

Experience or a willingness to work with individuals who have autism, epilepsy, or complex physical health needs.

Patience, resilience, and adaptability to respond positively to challenging situations.

Excellent communication skills, able to interpret non-verbal cues effectively.

Ability to maintain clear and detailed records.

Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and promoting independence.

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous care experience, especially in supported living or complex care settings.

Qualifications or training in Health and Social Care, Autism Awareness, Epilepsy Management, PBS, or similar.

Experience working with communication aids or boards.
