We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Passenger Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.26 - £15.82 per hour
Summary:
To undertake a range of passenger transport functions within Fleet Operations, ensuring effective provision in line with service requirements and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Support the driver in ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from school.
Assist children when boarding and alighting from the vehicle, including the safe securing of wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.
Supervise children throughout the journey, ensuring appropriate behaviour and safety standards are maintained.
Provide reassurance and assistance to children with additional needs or disabilities.
Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with children, parents, carers, and school staff.
Experience:
Experience in the transportation of passenger
Minimum of 4 years, driving experience
Experience in working to tight schedule
Experience of working with vulnerable people
Requirements:
A full endorsement free driving licence that includes category D Licence
Manual Handling training
Ability to work without close supervision
Emergency First Aid Qualification
Wheelchair securing knowledge

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
