Join Boxed as a Specialist Delivery Manager - Colleague Experience

Responsible for the delivery of Colleague Experience (Ops Tooling and Automation/AI), one of our specialist Product Lines.

In this role, you will:

  • Utilise your technical awareness to ensure internal platforms scale reliably and drive team productivity.
  • Align scope with delivery capacity, ensuring that teams are working at an optimal level without over or under-committing
  • Own the Colleague Experience product plan, feeding into the master plan, and ensuring that any dependencies are understood and managed
  • Track progress versus plan, highlighting and mitigating delivery risks, report burn down / progress at all levels of organisation in a transparent way in line with Delivery Director’s requirements
  • Apply specialist technical knowledge and industry best practices for Colleague Experience to influence cross-functional teams when designing and delivering product solutions
  • Support the Product Managers with a business case to ensure that resources are being deployed wisely, and that the highest value work is being prioritised
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and support during discovery, design, delivery, launch, and in-life phases for Colleague Experience
  • Ensure appropriate levels of business readiness across all business functions at Boxed and other suppliers
  • Ensure that product plans and specifications are appropriately documented in formats that can be shared with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Track and report delivery progress versus milestones with strong stakeholder management
  • Log and track risks and mitigation, identifying project bottlenecks, recommending and implementing solutions
  • Work with Engineering teams to ensure that products are tested appropriately and that high standards of product quality are maintained

What makes you a great fit:

  • Ability to create delivery plans and manage through to successful completion, with clear reporting into the master plan owned by the Delivery Director
  • Strong industry understanding of operational / internal tooling software use‑cases (e.g. customer support systems, ticketing systems), including industry best practices
  • First-hand experience of successful launch(es) for a product in the required specialist area, including coordination across Product, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Risk, suppliers etc
  • Strong understanding of Agile product development, including tooling, such as Jira & Confluence
  • Proven problem-solver, with an ability to synthesise data and proactively prevent problems from happening
  • Own, execute, and coordinate regular delivery governance and agile ceremonies, ensuring a strict level of rigour around delivery execution and effective status reporting
  • Ability to independently establish and manage RAID logs as well as a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, white-labelled front-end applications. system integrations, and microservices architectures
