The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining the future Technology and Application Architecture for the Healthier Futures Programme, and the New Hospital Build.



This is an exciting opportunity to shape the hospital of the future and create the technology and application architecture to support and intelligent hospital, which can support patients and staff both within, and outside the hospital walls. The role will be responsible for a large programme of IT and Application architecture projects, and enabling the hospital to realise it’s future and an intelligent, joined up place to receive treatment and work.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will:

· Be an inspirational leader and an expert in your field, working autonomously on high-profile systems and solutions.

· Manage the enterprise architecture function within the organisation, taking a leading role in the overall direction of business and digital capabilities.

· Successfully lead and manage a geographically dispersed team, both from within the NHS, and wider industry working on multiple architecture projects or programmes.

· Define and connect strategies or visions across the organisation or ICS, enabling the implementation of shared strategies or visions

· Communicate persuasively and effectively, building relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business or technical areas in the organisation and its partners.

· Set the strategy, and deliver technologies to enable the safe, secure and successful integration of systems across the hospital throughout the construction and operation of the building, incorporating clinical, construction and estates systems, a first for the NHS.

· Be skilled in project risk management and be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve the organisation and its partners.

· Work with technology partners to inform their roadmaps.

· Demonstrate an understanding of strategic issues, and be conversant with the organisation's IT strategy, policies and standards.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community services for East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K). Our services include planned and unplanned/emergency care, cardiac and critical care, child health, maternity, and intermediate care across Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.

Through our community arm, Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership, we deliver extensive services in 26 medical centres and schools in collaboration with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS FT and the South Cheshire and Vale Royal GP Alliance. · Provide visible and effective leadership, creating a culture of excellence through continuous improvement and learning from experience.

· Carry out analysis at a strategic level and develop business proposals to exploit technology in line with the organisation's mission, objectives and strategy.

· Identify and address highly complex architectural risks across the organisation or wider government.

· Engage with a range of high-level strategic stakeholders (technical and others), providing, receiving and analysing highly complex, sensitive and often contentious technical, administrative, financial and specialist information.

· Present highly complex technical data regarding systems, governance and risks effectively to stakeholders, including at Board level, to facilitate decision-making.
• Implement appropriate checks and controls to protect all assets held and managed by the organisation, including lifecycle management.
